House or apartment

This is not a choice between ‘better’ and ‘worse’, but between two different ways of living.

A house gives more personal space, a garden, quiet and freedom. In return come more maintenance, more costs and a greater commitment to the property itself.

An apartment usually offers an easier daily life, better urban connections and less maintenance to worry about, but with more compromises on personal space and independence.

The right choice depends on your way of life, your family, the time you have, and how you picture your everyday life a few years from now. Don’t choose just a property. Choose the environment you want to live in.

High-end does not begin with the price, and it is not defined by marble, designer furniture or an expensive address.

It is a combination of factors that are hard to add later: location, architecture, build quality, proportions, light, views, surroundings, access and the way all of it works together.

There are expensive properties that are not high-end. And there are properties whose value is understood before you even look at the furnishings.

True high-end shows most where it does not need much explaining. In good design, in quality construction, in spaces that make sense, and in the things that will not look dated after the next design trend.

The price can be high. The class has to be defensible.
